Joss Moorkens


Dr. Joss Moorkens is an Assistant Professor and chair of translation MA programmes at the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies (SALIS) at Dublin City University.

He is a member of the board of the European Masters in Translation network. He has authored over 50 articles and chapters on translation technology, machine translation post-editing, translation evaluation, translator precarity, and translation technology standards. He is co-editor of the book Translation Quality Assessment: From Principles to Practice (Springer 2018), a special issue of Machine Translation journal focusing on human factors in neural machine translation (June 2019), and a forthcoming special issue of Translation Spaces looking at ethical implementations of MT (due July 2020).
