Prof. James O’Higgins Norman holds the prestigious UNESCO Chair on Tackling Bullying in Schools and Cyberspace and is Director of the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre (ABC).
Having completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Psychology, Sociology, and Education in Ireland and the UK, he has led a number of significant funded research projects on bullying in schools, cyberbullying, and parental involvement in online safety. He is currently working on studies about migration and bullying, workplace bullying and online safety.
He has served on the NCCA sub-committee on intercultural education and is currently a member of the Government’s Advisory Council for Online Safety.
